How to Make Crockpot Whole Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4.5 lb Whole Chicken
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 4 cloves Garlic crushed, then peeled
  • ½ cup Water

  1. Rinse chicken, remove innards and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Add Brown Sugar, Salt, Chili Powder, Paprika, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, and Oregano to small bowl and mix well.
  3. Generously pat mixture onto outside of chicken.
  4. Place Garlic cloves inside chicken.
  5. Place chicken on large plate and cover overnight to marinate. (optional)
  6. The next day, add 1/2 cup Water to your Crockpot, then carefully place chicken in Crockpot.
  7. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 8 hours, or until done.
  8. Use thermometer in thick portion of breast to verify if chicken is done at 165 degrees. Enjoy!!
